Monifieth Befrienders is a registered charity – SC030685. Our organisation has been running successfully in Monifieth since 2000, providing a growing befriending service to socially isolated older people, living at home or in a care home and bereaved people of any age.
Our trained volunteers provide one-to-one quality time to their clients through weekly home visits or outings. Our organisation also holds regular social events throughout the year allowing clients and volunteers to meet up and enjoy social activities together. We also run a weekly Monday lunches group (in conjunction with Monifieth Parish Church), a fortnightly Men’s Brunch Group and a weekly knitting group.
We are funded by the Community Fund, Angus Health and Social Care Partnership and other small Trusts.
