Lochside Connections is a dementia Meeting Centre that supports people living with the early stages of Dementia and their family carers. We are open 3 days a week from 10am – 3pm, we do different activities (which are chosen by the members) and share lunch together. Our Meeting Centre is based at Strathmore Cricket Club and is a social group for members to come along to a friendly, welcoming space and take part in activities that help keep their skills and encourage independence, which helps them adapt to the changes that dementia can bring. Every second Monday afternoon our carers group meets, this is where carers can get any support/advice they require and we work closely with other organisations such as Alzheimer’s Scotland, Angus carers centre and the post-diagnostics team.
