At the Angus Dementia Resource Centre in Arbroath we aim to provide a central hub for information and support for people affected by dementia throughout Angus.
Support Services
Carer Groups offer mutual support and sharing of information in a confidential setting.
Details of Carers Groups can be obtained by contacting Angus Services direct.
The Service aims to support the families, relatives and friends of people with dementia at any stage of the illness.
Carers support from Alzheimer Scotland is free and offers advice, information and emotional and practical support through:
· Telephone contact
· Home visits
· Carers Groups
· Information leaflets and books
· Education courses and events
· Information about local services and resources Involvement
Carers tell us they experience feelings of isolation; feelings of loss and grief; insufficient support and insufficient information: Alzheimer Scotland understands.
We also run a number of informal Drop-in groups, throughout Angus, for people with dementia, their families and friends.
All our groups are for people who are able to attend on their own safely or who can bring their own support with them.
